Gran exito en Feria del Libro |  El viernes 3 y sábado 4 de octubre se realizó la III Feria Multilingue del Libro en Nueva York, en Astoria, Queens con la participación de 100 autores de diferentes nacionalidades que bajo un mismo techo presentaron a la comunidad sus nuevas producciones en varios generos de la literatura. Hubo poesía, narrativa, traducciones de clásicos de la literatura, cuentos infantiles y audiolibros. La cantaautora Andrea Tierra abrió el evento. El autor y presentador de TV Dominic Carter fue el invitado especial de la noche, junto a la autora griega Justine Frangouli Argyris. |
Gilad Shalit’s Book Read on YouTube | | | - To mark two years since he was kidnapped, a reading of Gilad Shalit's book When the Shark and the Fish First Met is now on YouTube in an initiative of the Israeli Consulate in New York. In the three-minute video uploaded today, five fifth-grade students from New York read the book Shalit wrote at age eleven. The images of the children reading are interspersed with pictures from the book released in Israel.
